All-new Chevrolet Equinox
Chevrolet Equinox is equipped with SAIC-GM's new generation PHEV intelligent electric plug-in hybrid system, which not only provides stronger power, but also has lower fuel consumption. The comprehensive fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is only 7.2 liters, and the fuel consumption when the battery is low is 5.97 liters. It is economical and energy-saving. In addition, it has good mid-range acceleration ability when driving at high speeds, and strong medium and high-speed continuous output capabilities.
Power Configuration
Equinox has two power options, 1.5T turbocharged version, maximum power 124kW, maximum torque 250N·m, maximum horsepower 169Ps, official 0-100km/h acceleration 10.2s.
Gasoline + 48V mild hybrid system, maximum power 174kW, maximum torque 350N·m, maximum horsepower 237Ps, official 0-100km/h acceleration 7.9s.
Practical Interior
The interior is simple and plain. GM's style has always been good at "embracing feeling", and this time is no exception. The center console is wrapped with soft materials above and below, which does not look cheap.
Three-spoke Steering Wheel
The Equinox's three-spoke steering wheel feels bony to hold, without too much stitching, and has keys for song switching and volume control on the back.
Instrument Panel
The design of mechanical pointer + small display screen is fine to use, but it is really a bit out of date.
Central Control Screen
Except for the lowest configuration, the 10-inch central control screen of the Equinox series is standard, with a built-in new generation MyLink+ smart car system. In addition to supporting CarPlay and CarLife mobile phone interconnection functions, it also adds online streaming media software such as Free Listening and OTA remote expansion functions.
Physical Buttons
Although traditional physical buttons are not popular, it must be said that the rich physical buttons retained on the Equinox are impeccable in terms of texture and functional layout. Retaining the most basic physical buttons is more conducive to blind operation during driving.
Gearshift Lever
The Equinox 1.5T model is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. The manual gear shift button is located on the side of the gear lever, and there is an electronic handbrake behind the gear lever. The 2.0T Explorer is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Front Seats
The wide seats are decorated with red lines, and the filling is slightly hard, but the support is good, and the overall comfort is good. The front seats support ventilation and heating, and the configuration is satisfactory.
Rear Air Outlet
The rear air conditioning outlet is quite protruding, and it is easy to get hit when moving in the back row. The outlet is also small, but there are plenty of charging ports, and the middle of the rear floor is flat.
Panoramic sunroof
Chevrolet Equinox comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, which provides a large lighting area of 0.73㎡ and an open area of 0.34㎡.
Rear Seats
The Equinox's center floor is surprisingly flat, but there is no center headrest and the backrest is a bit lumbar, so the comfort is average. The backrest angle can be adjusted in a very small range.
Trunk
The trunk of the Equinox is very neat, and the seats can be folded down in a 4/6 ratio to form a complete flat surface. The trunk can easily hold three suitcases of different sizes. There is also a large storage space under the cover, and below that is the spare tire of the vehicle.
Front Face Design
The front face of Chevrolet Equinox still looks like a tiger. A decorative piece in the same color as the body runs across the front of the car. The air intake grille is not very large, and there is an "RS" logo on the side.
Body Design
The two-stage waistline of Equinox "turns and turns" on the side of the car, adding a touch of softness. The design of the C-pillar and D-pillar is somewhat similar to the classic Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The gun-gray 19-inch wheels match the paint color very well, and the tires are from Goodyear EFFICIENTGRIP SUV Royal Series, with a specification of 235/50 R19.
Rear Design
The rear of the car looks very neat, not bloated or cumbersome, and the four exhaust pipes on both sides and the "RS" logo are two highlights.
Driving Experience
The throttle of the old Equinox was too sensitive at the beginning, which has been greatly improved in the new model. The throttle pedal has a space about the size of a thick sock with a towel bottom. After stepping on the space, the power will be released more compactly and densely.
