Honda e:NP2
In the wave of automobile electrification, GAC Honda has actively made plans and officially launched the Honda brand's second pure electric model, the e:NP2 Extreme 2 Advanced Edition, during the Beijing Auto Show from April 25 to May 4, 2024.
Front Design
Honda e:NP2 uses a closed grille design commonly seen in pure electric vehicles, which is simple and elegant, highlighting its pure electric identity. The sharp C-shaped headlights on both sides are connected by LED light strips to form a through-type design. The lighting effect at night is highly recognizable, and it complements the glowing Honda logo in the middle, creating a strong technological atmosphere.
Tail Design
The tail shows a unique sense of technology and sportiness. The large-angle fastback design makes the tail lines smooth and dynamic, which not only increases the sporty atmosphere of the vehicle, but also reduces wind resistance to a certain extent.
Interior Design
The interior adopts a new design language, focusing on minimalist style. The front center console is removed to form a through space, which is convenient for front row passengers to get on and off the car flexibly, and improves the transparency and practicality of the space.
Steering Wheel
The oval-designed, color-blocked steering wheel supports heating and has physical buttons for an excellent feel.
Instrument Screen
Honda e:NP2 LCD instrument adopts embedded design and is integrated with the through-type air-conditioning outlet. Coupled with HUD head-up display, the information is presented concisely and clearly, with a strong technological atmosphere.
Central Control Screen
The central control is equipped with Honda CONNECT 4.0 intelligent interconnection system, which can realize functions such as environmental monitoring, passenger protection, and vehicle status diagnosis. It can also automatically match personal exclusive cockpit settings through face recognition. The anthropomorphic voice assistant has 17 expressions and 7 tones.
Through-type Design
The front center console is removed to form a through-type space. If the driver's door cannot be fully opened, you can get out of the car through the passenger side. At the same time, the sense of transparency in the car space is improved, making the visual effect inside the car more open.
Front Armrest
The front armrest of the e:NP2 is equipped with different shift buttons and driving mode switch paddles than conventional cars. For experienced drivers who are used to driving conventional cars, it may be difficult to get used to it at first.
Front Seats
The ergonomic design of the seats is reasonable, which can fit the human body curve well, provide good support for the waist, back and shoulders, and effectively relieve driving fatigue. The wide seat cushion and backrest provide ample riding space for the driver and passengers, and they will not feel cramped even if they sit for a long time.
Rear Air Outlet
The rear air outlet design is relatively simple, which is consistent with the overall interior style. There are two Type-C interfaces at the bottom. It is very practical.
Electric Sunroof
Honda e:NP2 adopts an electric single sunroof design, which can be easily opened and closed through the sunroof control button in the car, which is convenient and quick to operate. The sunroof is large in size and can provide sufficient lighting for the car.
Rear Space
The car has a body size of 4787mm×1838mm×1570mm and a wheelbase of 2735mm. The spacious body provides ample legroom for the rear passengers. Even if the front seats are adjusted to the rear, the rear passengers can still have a comfortable legroom. At the same time, the headroom in the rear is also considerable, which will not make passengers feel depressed.
Trunk
Honda e:NP2 is equipped with an electric tailgate with a large opening. The hatchback design is easy to use and not easy to hit your head. You can open the tailgate with a light sweep of your legs without bending over. In addition, a storage slot with a good volume is provided under the trunk floor, which has a strong sense of privacy.
Driving Experience
The high-power motor equipped in the Honda e:NP2 has extremely agile power response. On city roads, the vehicle can respond quickly with a light tap of the accelerator, starting lightly and accelerating to overtake in one go. This silky acceleration feeling makes driving easy and enjoyable.
Solid Battery Life
In terms of power consumption, the car also performs well. The displayed power consumption is close to the actual mileage. After testing, the average power consumption is about 13 degrees per 100 kilometers. With a battery capacity of 68.8 degrees, it can travel about 520 kilometers when fully charged. The battery life is solid and reassuring.
