Flat-bottomed steering wheels are common in many models that pursue a sporty atmosphere, but it is rare to see a GT racing-style steering wheel like the new Changan CS55 PLUS. At the same time, it also achieves the coexistence of beauty and practicality without affecting the line of sight at all.

The upgrade of CS55 Plus to a full LCD instrument is a welcome one, with a simple interface design and easy-to-read data. The disadvantage is that the interface changes in different driving modes are not obvious, and the frequently read data, such as time, temperature, cruising range, etc., are displayed in small fonts.

The display brightness and detail of the Changan CS55 Plus center console screen are excellent, and the shape is excellent and blends into the center console without being obtrusive. The built-in car system can provide most common functions, and the voice system also supports the Oneshot function and has a high recognition rate. It is also equipped with a 360° panoramic image and also supports 3D view mode. The driver can adjust the transparency to more conveniently observe the environment around the vehicle. Higher-level see-through chassis functions are also equipped, which greatly reduces the difficulty of parking.

The air conditioning part uses physical buttons, which are very convenient to operate while driving. From a visual perspective, it is also harmonious enough without any sense of dissonance.

In terms of gearbox, the new car also continues the configuration of the current model. It is still a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, and it still does not provide steering wheel shift paddles.

In the interior design of CS55 Plus, the most attractive thing is the decoration on the passenger side. On the silver brushed panel that is already full of texture, the designer uniquely completed an ingenious design through a few simple dots and lines, and also has the effect of light and shadow.

The shortcoming of the front seats is that the integrated headrest is not high enough, and the head of the 183cm-tall experiencer did not receive full support. The length of the seat cushions is also insufficient, and the support for the thighs of front-seat passengers is relatively average, which may cause fatigue when riding for a long time.

The comfort of the rear seats is acceptable and the softness is good. In terms of craftsmanship, it is of the highest quality, with color-blocked genuine leather and fine stitching. The shortcomings are the same as those of the front seats, which are that the seat cushions are not long enough and have poor thigh support.

The panoramic sunroof is large in size and extends all the way to the heads of the rear passengers, with a lighting area of 0.83m2 and an openable length of 500mm.

The trunk has a regular and flat shape, and supports 4/6 ratio folding seats. Limited by the body size, the conventional depth and maximum depth are not dominant in the compact SUV class.
