Power Configuration
Toyota Avalon is available in three power versions. The new 2.0L hybrid version has a maximum engine power of 112 kW, a comprehensive fuel consumption of 4.31L/100km, and can travel 1,000km on a tank of fuel; the 2.0L fuel version has a maximum engine power of 127 kW; and the 2.5L hybrid version has a maximum engine power of 136 kW.
Front Face Design
The new Avalon has adjusted the details of the headlights, which look more refined. The headlights are also highly configured. All models are equipped with adaptive high and low beams, automatic opening and closing, and height adjustment. LED daytime running lights and LED front fog lights are also standard.There are still two air guides on both sides of the center grille, which are used to sort out the turbulent air at the front of the car and dissipate heat for the wheels.
Body Side
The side shape has not changed, but the design is not outdated. The smooth waistline extends from the front to the rear of the car, and the proportions are coordinated. In terms of size, the body length has increased by 15mm. The width, height and wheelbase have not changed.
Tail Design
At the rear of the Toyota Avalon, the style of the taillights and reversing lights has been optimized, with a stronger overall feel and a smoked black design. Both the fuel version and the dual-engine version use the same rear surround design and no longer have enhanced exhaust decoration.
Interior Design
The interior of Toyota Avalon looks very neat at first glance. The square center control area and the gentle design lines echo each other, showing a symmetrical beauty.
Three-spoke Steering Wheel
The new Toyota Avalon's multi-function steering wheel performs well. The styling is not much different from Toyota's lower-end models, but the material has been upgraded from the old hard plastic to leather, which greatly improves the texture.
Instrument Panel
The 2024 Toyota Avalon's mid-range and low-end models are equipped with a 7-inch LCD instrument panel, while the high-end models are equipped with the same full LCD instrument panel as the Allion. The functions are sufficient, but the visual effect is still more eye-catching with the full-size one.
Central Control Screen
The low-end and mid-range models are equipped with a 10.25-inch central control screen, while the luxury version is 12.3 inches. The display effect is not very good, but the functions are equipped with CarPlay, CarLife and Hicar interconnection. The in-vehicle system processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155.
Air Conditioning Vents
The air conditioning area is exactly the same for low-end and high-end models, both use physical buttons, and the functions are OK, but there is no purification function and seat heating.
Front Storage
The storage slot is of decent size, and there is a 12V power supply inside, but it has become a completely enclosed style, and the two sides were hollowed out before.
Front Seats
The characteristics of the entry-level model are more obvious in the seats. First of all, the material is fabric, and the adjustment method is 6-way manual for the driver and 4-way manual for the co-driver. However, there is no problem in the actual riding experience. The sponge is moderately soft and hard, and the comfort is good. Except for the lowest configuration, all are electrically adjustable.
Rear Air Vents
Except for the top-of-the-line model, all other models only have air vents in the rear, and the two USB charging ports below are also standard for all models.
Sunroof
Except for the top-of-the-line 2.5L fuel version and the 2.5L XLE Limited flagship version, which have panoramic sunroofs, the rest of the models are equipped with standard-sized sunroofs.
Rear Seats
The rear seats perform well in all aspects. Passengers can easily cross their legs. The sponge is moderately soft and hard. The seat cushion is of good length, but the support is average.
Trunk
Not all Toyota Allion models support the rear seats being folded down proportionally. The gasoline entry-level hybrid top-end models do not have this feature, so the trunk storage expandability will be more obvious. However, the trunk storage space is very flat.
2.0 Dual Engine Cost-Effectiveness
Generally speaking, the price of models equipped with the 2.0 Dual Engine system is relatively affordable, and is in the mid-to-low-end price range in Toyota's product line, which can meet the needs of consumers who are more sensitive to price and want to enjoy the fuel economy and driving comfort brought by the dual-alert technology.
