Front Face Design
The Mazda 3 adopts a new family-style design, which is more refined. The front lines are not complicated, and the overall shape is very three-dimensional, and the details are handled more in place. The chrome decoration extends all the way to the headlight position. The shape of the headlight group is not much different from the current model, and it is still the "circling" LED daytime running lights plus the main lights.
Body Side
The elegant and free-flowing lines are still Mazda's specialty. The side view looks well-proportioned. Compared with the current model, the length, width and wheelbase of this generation of models have increased, the height has decreased, and the coupe style is more obvious.
Tail Design
The lines of the rear are full of tension, and the shapes of the front and rear surrounds echo each other, giving it a strong sporty feel. The taillights adopt the same design concept as the headlights, and the classic "double circle" shape still appears inside the light group, making it highly recognizable when lit at night.
Simple Interior
The interior of Mazda 3 adopts a simple style. The entire center console is tilted towards the driver. The design of the through-type air-conditioning outlet conforms to the current aesthetics, but there is no outlet at the position I marked.
Three-spoke Steering Wheel
The 23-model multi-function leather steering wheel has an avant-garde design and good workmanship. The gap between the buttons is small, the leather feels very delicate, and the thickness is just right. However, the 24-model steering wheel is made of plastic.
Classic Dashboard
The Mazda 3 dashboard adopts a three-disc design with a strong sense of sportiness. The center is an LCD screen, and the tachometer, fuel level, and water temperature gauges on the left and right sides all use mechanical pointers.
Central Control Screen
All models are equipped with an 8.8-inch multimedia screen as standard. The interface still uses a list format for convenient and quick operation, and the interface style is highly consistent with the interior.
Air Conditioning Control
The dual-zone air conditioning control area is placed below the central control screen and uses a combination of knobs and buttons. The interface design is not very eye-catching in today's ever-changing design styles.
Physical Buttons
It is gratifying that the electronic handbrake and AUTO HOLD are standard for the entire series. The multimedia system is operated by physical buttons, similar to BMW's iDrive, and with a relatively simple interface, the operating efficiency is quite high.
Front Seats
The seat design is good, but the entry-level model does not have full leather seats and electric adjustment. The padding is a bit hard, but thanks to the high side wings of the seat, the wrapping and support are good.
Rear Air Outlet
There is only one central air outlet in the back row, and it does not have an external power socket, which can be said to be a bit shabby.
Rear Space
The overall performance of the rear floor of the Mazda 3 Axela is not satisfactory, with a large bulge and the longitudinal space as small as ever.
Electric Sunroof
Except for the lowest and second lowest configuration models, all other models are equipped with normal-sized electric sunroofs.
Trunk
The trunk is large and deep, and the rear seats can be folded down in a 4/6 ratio, which is basically enough for daily use.
Driving Experience
The Mazda 3 engine has a smooth power output. Although the power performance is not violent, it is still overpowering when measured by the standard of daily commuting. The wider high torque range brings more active and faster power response.
