Appearance Design
The appearance of BYD Destroyer 05 is based on the design concept of "ocean aesthetics". The front grille is composed of multiple chrome trim strips, which are arranged in a dot matrix at the edges, with a clear sense of hierarchy. There is an air guide slot on each side of the front surround.
Body Design
BYD Destroyer 05 is positioned as a compact car with a body size of 4780/1837/1495mm. The side lines of the car are soft, and the waistline extends from the headlights to the rear. The rear design is full, the lines are smooth and flowing, and it is equipped with through-type taillights.
Marine Aesthetic Interior
As a member of the Ocean Network, the interior of the destroyer 05 naturally adopts the design concept of marine aesthetics. The center console outlined by smooth lines looks quite soft, and the chrome trim strips that are embellished just right effectively enhance the sense of refinement.
Leather Steering Wheel
BYD Destroyer 05 is equipped with a leather steering wheel with a three-spoke design and a chrome trim. The left button controls the cruise control, and the right button controls the car computer and multimedia.
Dashboard
The top-of-the-line model is equipped with an 8.8-inch full-wave crystal instrument panel, which displays the content concisely and clearly. The left side displays the driving mode, the right side displays the speed, the top is the gear position, and the bottom is the range.
Central Control Screen
In the center of the center console is a 12.8-inch rotatable screen, running the DiLimk system, integrating vehicle control and entertainment functions, with a built-in app store, rich downloadable resources, and support for 4G network.
Automatic Air Conditioning
The entire Destroyer 05 series is equipped with automatic air conditioning and in-car PM2.5 filtration devices as standard, and the top and second-top models are equipped with temperature zone control. Of course, the top model also has wireless charging.
Knob-type Shifting
BYD Destroyer 05 is equipped with an electronic gear lever and a knob-type shifting. The gear lever is located on the central control console, with the P gear at the top and chrome-plated decoration on the outside.
Front Seats
The Destroyer 05 comes standard with imitation leather seats, the front seats are designed in an integrated style, the headrest height is not adjustable, and the top-of-the-line model is equipped with electric adjustment for the driver and co-driver seats and seat heating.
Rear Air Outlet
BYD Destroyer 05 is equipped with rear air outlet as standard, with a rectangular design inside and plated trim on the edges, and two USB charging ports at the bottom.
Conventional Skylight
It uses only conventional skylights, with a lighting and openable area of ≈0.23m2, and the data are all at conventional levels.
Rear Seats
The Destroyer 05 rear seats are equipped with a central armrest as standard. The middle seat cushion is slightly shorter than the two sides. The floor is slightly raised, which does not affect the riding experience. It supports 4/6 ratio folding.
Trunk
From the data, the trunk has sufficient depth and height, but the width is a little off, and the overall volume is expected to be above average. In addition, the rear seat backs can be folded down proportionally, which can expand the trunk storage volume when necessary.
Vehicle Performance
BYD Destroyer 05 adopts plug-in hybrid power, equipped with a 1.5L four-cylinder engine and an electric motor with a total power of 145kW. The NEDC comprehensive cruising range is 1245km, and some models support fast charging.
Two Types Of Batteries
The Destroyer 05 has two battery capacities: 8.3kWh and 18.3kWh. Both are lithium iron phosphate batteries, using liquid cooling. The WLTC pure electric range is 46km and 101km respectively. The battery pack warranty is unlimited for the first owner for any number of years/mileage.
Assisted Driving
The top-end model of the Destroyer 05 is equipped with L2 assisted driving, equipped with the DiPilot assisted driving system, a total of 15 sensing hardware in the vehicle, and supports full-speed adaptive cruise. The top-end model supports reversing vehicle side warning, lane keeping assist, road traffic sign recognition and remote parking functions.
