Radar Automobile is a new new energy sub-brand of Geely Group. Its name is derived from the English name "RADAR". Radar RD6, as its first model, can also be regarded as the first orthodox new energy pickup truck model in the domestic market that does not replace oil with electricity.
Radar RD6 is built and developed based on SEA's vast architecture. In the future, Radar Auto will also launch models including full-size SUVs, full-size pickups, and ATVs.
The interior design style is very inclined to passenger car design, and it is not very unfamiliar, but many tough elements are added to the detailed design elements, such as square door handles and so on.
Leather Steering Wheel
The leather steering wheel feels good and the size of the steering wheel is basically similar to that of a passenger car.
Instrument Screen
Radar RD6 instrument screen is available in 3.5-inch and 12.3-inch options. The display is clear and basic information can be viewed in real time.
Central Control Screen
The multimedia system is basically the same as many of Geely's current family products, except that there is a separate internal setting page for the supplementary power supply discharge function. The rest of the functionality and usage experience are basically the same.
Central Control Button
Radar RD6 air conditioning control buttons are all physical mechanical buttons, which are suitable for blind operation and are simple and easy to use. There are Type-C and USB charging ports below them, which are very practical.
Gear Shift Knob
The Radar RD6 gear shift handle is wrapped in practical leather and decorated with practical chrome hardware on both sides. It has a good grip and is equipped with a fixed-ratio gearbox.
Front Trunk
Because it is a new energy product, the front trunk of RD6 does not need to be constrained by the engine, providing a space that can accommodate a small suitcase.
Front Seats
Radar RD6 is equipped with leather seats. As for the interior color scheme, in addition to brown/black and pure black colors, there is also a black/green color scheme that corresponds to the green exterior.
Rear Seats
The rear seats are not as straight as previous pickup models, so the riding experience is very similar to that of ordinary SUV models. In addition, the bottom cushion of the rear seat supports folding to ensure expandability.
Cargo Box
The length, width and height of the Radar RD6 cargo compartment are 1525*1450*540mm respectively. The original car comes with a cargo box. In addition, there are multiple slots designed in the cargo compartment for users to expand by partition.
6KW Power Supply
The 6kW power supply is the biggest feature of Radar RD6. After all, the average pickup truck only has about 3.5kW, so the power supply capacity is greatly improved. V2V vehicle-to-vehicle power, 220V/10A interface, 220V/16A interface and 12V interface can meet the multi-scenario use of vehicles, and can even provide power while traveling.
As a new energy model, Radar RD6 naturally does not need to be constrained by many constraints. The closed front grille adopts a diamond-cut style that is very eye-catching. LED headlights are composed of 300+ lamp beads and support functions such as adaptive headlights.
The length, width and height of Radar RD6 are 5260*1900*1830mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3120mm. The side shape is still quite regular.
The tail design of Radar RD6 is very individual, unlike many pickup products with single and simple tail styles. Especially the very conspicuous X-shaped taillights, which are highly recognizable.
