AION Y Driving Experience

The biggest feature of the electric motor is its fast response and direct output. The AION Y has a fast response, but the output is more linear, which is very suitable for daily driving.

The power performance is relatively light, and driving in the city is very light. After the speed exceeds 100km/h, you can feel some push back by stepping on the power pedal deeply.
AION Y offers four driving modes: energy saving, normal, sports and single-pedal. The differences between them are mainly reflected in the speed and intensity of power response.

The shock absorber is calibrated to be quite stiff, and most of the vibrations on the road can be felt, but the chassis connection rubber sleeve is relatively thick, so the vibration transmission is not harsh.

The front of the car responds quickly to steering, and the overall flexibility is satisfactory when driving in the city.

Sound insulation is a weakness of AION Y. Wind noise and tire noise are very obvious during driving, which has a great impact on driving quality.

AION Y does not support launch control. The initial power output is gentle and the body posture is stable enough, and you have to wait for the push-back feeling to come.

The braking force output is sufficient, and the forward tilt of the car body is properly controlled. Due to the average tire grip, ABS intervenes relatively early.

The vehicle will basically maintain an understeering posture in zone B. Although the electronic assistance system intervenes, the corrections to the vehicle speed and driving route are not obvious.
