Product Highlights
BMW EV i4 has two power configuration levels: rear-drive eDrive40 and four-wheel drive M50. The eDrive40 has a longer range, while the M50 is an electric vehicle known for its performance.
Brilliant Appearance
The matte surface Portimao Blue paint is exclusive to BMW M models, highlighting the sporty heritage of this i4 M50, and the body proportions are not out of shape because it is an electric car.
Luxurious Center Console
The layout of the center console is still the familiar 3 Series and 4 Series style, with the top made of leather material. The biggest change is the upgraded giant dual-screen, which looks like a large TV.
Functional Steering Wheel
The steering wheel of the BMW EV i4 is heated and has a full-circle design. The thick and round body has a first-class grip. The paddles at the rear have been cancelled, and there is no paddle function to adjust the intensity of kinetic energy recovery.
Dual Screen
Although dual screens are no longer new, this ultra-thin curved screen that resembles a "hairtail screen" is like a large TV propped up on the center console, with a clean and simple look and feel.
Instrument Screen
The 12.3-inch virtual instrument panel has a refreshing interface, the function menu is not complicated, and it is easy to use. The small M logo in the upper left corner implicitly reveals its identity as a performance car.
Central Control Screen
The size of the BMW EV i4's 14.9-inch multimedia screen is not exaggerated. The new ID8 operating system is very smooth and easy to use, and can be operated through touch and knobs.
Control Panel
After the BMW i4 was upgraded to the ID8 system, the original digital shortcut buttons were cancelled, and the air-conditioning control panel was also integrated into the system, making the design simpler.
Gear Shift Lever
The iDrive control panel and gear lever are the same as those of the 3 and 4 series. The gear lever and start-stop buttons all have blue elements. The B energy recovery mode replaces the original up and down gears.
Frameless Door
The handsome frameless doors of the BMW EV i4 are a must for a Gran Coupe. The side windows do not have a laminated acoustic design, so the noise in the ears is slightly higher when driving at high speeds.
Passion Speaker
The BMW i4 16-speaker Harman audio is optional, and BMW teamed up with dubbing master Hans Zimmer to develop the lconicSounds sound wave simulation system to add driving excitement.
BMW i4 Seats
M sports seats with memory and multi-directional electric adjustment are optional, with good comfort and lateral support. The edges of the seat belts are also decorated with M three-color decoration.
Rear Space
Because it shares the body structure with fuel vehicles, the BMW EV i4 is not immune to BMW's "ancestral" rear floor bulge, which contains batteries, cables, etc., so you'd better regard it as a 4-seater car.
The Trunk
The Gran Coupe body form of the i4 provides a trunk with a huge opening, and the standard cargo volume is the same as the fuel-powered 4 Series Gran Coupe at 470 liters.
Featured Front Face
The upper part of the "big nostril" kidney grille is closed and inlaid with the M logo. The lower part is ventilated and equipped with millimeter-wave radar. The design still takes time to get used to.
Body Side
The i4 M50 has an elegant roof arc, and the side of the body has not been deliberately "higher" due to the addition of battery modules. It maintains the same appearance as the fuel version of the 4 Series Gran Coupe, but the too short rear door makes the lines of the entire vehicle not stretched enough.
Eye-Catching Tail
The small fastback of the BMW EV i4 makes the rear of the car compact and full. The M sports rear spoiler is similar to the fuel version of the 4 Series. The M50 logo, which represents high performance, is very conspicuous.
Absolute Positioning
All in all, the i4 M50 is worthy of being an M-prefixed BMW. Although this is not a purebred performance car, its flexible, sharp and powerful power output is unforgettable.
