Ford Explorer

The three-spoke steering wheel is four-way electrically adjustable and is wrapped in leather. It feels comfortable to the touch and has a moderate thickness. The steering wheel buttons have a complete range of functions, from adaptive cruise control to multimedia control to voice recognition.

The instrument is the most obvious feature of the low-end car. The low-end version uses a combination of traditional mechanical instruments and a 6.5-inch LCD screen, while other models use a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument.

The car uses Qualcomm Xiaolong 8155 chip, equipped with SYNC+3.0 intelligent infotainment system, supports wireless Apple CarPlay mapping interconnection, and continuous voice dialogue. The whole series is upgraded to 5G network, a new cloud audio resource library is added, and Baidu Maps 5.2 is upgraded.

Ford Explorer has multiple driving modes to choose from. As the driving mode changes, the color on the instrument panel will also change. The traction control is set separately outside, which is convenient for the driver to switch in time when facing slippage.

The storage compartment under the center console has been upgraded to wireless charging, and there is a 12V power supply in the center armrest box.

The whole series has added ANC active noise reduction, which can intelligently eliminate low-frequency noise above 10dB on average. With the B&O audio system, it has up to 14 speakers to create a better in-car hearing effect.

The new Ford Explorer will be available in two seat layouts: 2+2+2/2+3+2. This photo shows the former. The front seats are wide and large, and very comfortable to sit on. The seat fabric is leather, and is equipped with multi-directional electric adjustment and heating/ventilation.

The second row seats adopt an independent layout. Like the front row, the seats are wide and comfortable, with soft internal padding. The seats support manual forward and backward sliding and backrest angle adjustment.

The third row of seats has a thinner cushion, a straighter angle, and feels harder to the touch. It still supports electric folding, saving time and effort.

The trunk of the Ford Explorer is very neat. Even when the three rows of seats are fully upright, the trunk can still fit two 20/24-inch suitcases. If the third row of seats is folded down, a 20/24/28-inch suitcase can be easily put into the car.
