At the 2017 Guangzhou Auto Show, the Kia Stinger was officially launched for sale. Unfortunately, the 370-horsepower 3.3T twin-turbocharged engine was not available in my country. The new car is only available in 2.0T models, with a price range of US$38,861-45,714.
The KIA Stinger's power and handling have received very good reviews from overseas car reviews, and the FR architecture makes it a very fun car.
Coming inside the KIA Stinger, the combat atmosphere of the interior design is not as strong as the exterior. However, Stinger has done a good job in creating a luxurious atmosphere. Whether it is workmanship, materials or design, it is in line with luxury brand models.
Three-Spoke Steering Wheel
The three-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel adopts a flat-bottom design, which can enhance the sporty atmosphere to a certain extent. The feeling of control is very strong.
Instrument Screen
The instrument panel does not have any fancy processing. It has a color LCD screen in the center, and the bottom of the speedometer on the right reaches 300km/h, which looks quite "performance".
Central Control Screen
The KIA Stinger central control 8-inch color screen is fully functional, and the screen is incredibly responsive, making it easy to quickly switch between applications, adjust settings, etc.
Central Control Button
The multimedia control and air-conditioning control areas all use physical buttons, so even first-time users can get started quickly.
Front Power Supply
The storage compartment in front of the gear handle is equipped with USB, AUX and 12V power interfaces. In addition, it also provides wireless charging function, which is good and deserves praise.
Front Seats
KIA Stinger's high-end models use Nappa leather seats, which are highly wrapped. In addition, the red interior is an optional color.
Rear Air Outlet
There is a 12V power supply and USB charging port under the rear air outlet. Due to the front-rear-drive layout, the center floor of the rear row has a very high bulge, which will have a great impact on the riding comfort of the center passenger.
Rear Seats
The rear seats are equipped with a central liftable headrest, a central three-point seat belt and an ISOFIX child safety seat interface, making it impeccable in terms of safety.
Skylight
The KIA Stinger sunroof has a large lighting area, but it cannot be fully opened due to the curved shape of the roof.
The Trunk
Since the height of the KIA Stinger's trunk is relatively small, it can only accommodate 28-inch and 24-inch trolley cases at the same time. If the 20-inch case is stacked, the tailgate cannot be closed.
The front face of the KIA Stinger is still covered with the latest design elements of the Kia family. The flatter tiger roar grille is no longer new, but it is undeniable that it still looks very aggressive.
The side of the KIA Stinger's body basically retains the shape of the GT concept car. It is slender and low, but the "gaudy double-door design" is changed.
If you ignore the four exhaust pipes on both sides, the rear end will not look so aggressive. The downward-facing lights and license plate holder shape make the rear end of the car look a bit like "囧".
This is a good-looking Kia. Some people may mistake it for the new K5, but in fact, its name is Stinger and it is a rear-wheel drive car. Taken together, this is a rear-wheel drive mid-to-large car that can create a sporty atmosphere in daily driving, but is not very sporty in nature.
