The Yuan PLUS is the car BYD sells across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and much of Asia under the name Atto 3. At home it wears the Yuan PLUS badge, and the Honor Edition is the trim that lifted the equipment list without changing the drivetrain. This unit is a 2024 car showing 1,200 km, held in the warehouse at Nansha, the deep-water port area of Guangzhou, and it is on sale now.

One model, two names
Anyone who knows the Atto 3 will recognise this body at once: the same 4,455 mm shell, the same 2,720 mm wheelbase, the same five-seat cabin. The difference sits in paperwork and market position rather than hardware. Buying the car under its Chinese name means buying from domestic stock, where the model sells in volume and the parts chain for panels, lamps and trim sits in the country that built it - a practical advantage for a fleet that will need spares.
Chinese-market units are left-hand drive, which suits most of Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Latin America. If your market drives on the left, say so before we quote, because right-hand-drive examples come through a different sourcing route.
What 510 km means in practice
CLTC is a Chinese laboratory cycle with a low average speed, so the 510 km figure will not repeat at motorway pace, in cold weather or with a full load. Treat it as a class indicator. In mixed urban and suburban duty the car has margin; on long intercity routes, plan the charging stops. At this mileage, battery state of health matters more than the headline range, and we would rather hand over a diagnostic readout than argue about a number.
Battery and the long-run question
The pack is BYD's own Blade LFP design. LFP chemistry gives up some energy density and takes it back in service life: BYD's own material claims more than 3,000 charging cycles for the Blade pack, and LFP cells are generally more forgiving of regular full charging than nickel-rich chemistries. For a buyer who intends to run the car as a taxi, a ride-hailing unit or a company vehicle, that trade is usually the right one. It also shifts the inspection focus: the pack is rarely the part that fails first, while the charger, the thermal circuit and the surrounding high-voltage hardware are worth a look.
Shipping and paperwork
The car loads as an ordinary container unit, one or two to a 40ft box depending on bracing, and Nansha gives us direct sailings to most destinations we serve. Chinese-market cars use GB/T charging connectors; settle the adapter and inlet question before the container is booked, because it is cheaper to resolve at this end. The document set is the standard export package: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and the used-vehicle export licence filed on the Chinese side.
What to confirm before ordering
VIN and a battery diagnostic readout. We pass the VIN on request, but this unit has not been independently verified in our records, so ask for the plate photograph and the scan before payment.
Daylight photographs of the panels, wheels and interior.
Whether the portable charger and both keys travel with the car.
Homologation and registration requirements in your destination market.
Summary
A 2024 Yuan PLUS Honor Edition at 1,200 km is close to new, in the trim most buyers ask for, and it is already warehoused at Nansha. The engineering has been proven in volume markets under the Atto 3 name; what remains is commercial and documentary, and it can usually be settled in a single exchange.
